Newbies HOG Adventure ride

Following on from our South Island HOG adventure ride, we have now organised another

fun weekend – 28th/29th May 2022 

 

Saturday 28th May

Meet at Caltex Upper Hutt, 8.00am – ride brief at 8.15am

Leaving at 8.30am, ride to Masterton Mobil station, north end.

We’ll regroup there and then ride back roads to Waipukarau via Akitio, Wimbleton, Porongahau

There is petrol at Porongahau.

We are doing tar seal and gravel roads. All gravel is easy level by gravel standards.

This is about pure Adventure enjoyment.

We will go at a steady but PANIC free pace.

The ride will always have a leader and a tail end rider.

We may ask some of you to help at any point.

Bring snacks and packed lunch.

We will eat at some lovely spot.

Bring comfy clothes for one night.

Rain gear

Any tools and tubes your bike needs.

Dinner is all organized --  Chevy is arranging a BBQ

You will just need to grab beers and chippies. New World is walking distance.

Accommodation is at Waipukurua Holiday Park – ph: 0800 999 992

Fergusson Motor Lodge is around the corner if the Holiday Park is full.

 

Sunday 29th May

We will leave approximately at 9am and head down through Flemington

and do some nice country roads both sealed and gravel back to Masterton, then home.

This is a local opportunity to stretch the keen Pan America specials with other adventure bikes.

All bikes welcome.

Adventure type tyres are a minimum and fuel capacity to 250 k's good.

Carry fuel if need be.
