We live in interesting times (a term which is based on an old Chinese curse)
With the country moving to COVID-19 Alert Level 4, your committee has met tonight and confirmed that all club in-person activity will be cancelled until the country returns to at least Alert Level 2, this includes rides, chapter meetings and social events. In line with the government directive we hope this will only be for four weeks, and as such we have cancelled all events until the end of April. The committee will meet fortnightly, (via video conference) to continually assess the situation.
In these difficult times we are keen to do everything we can to keep our HOG Family connected so we will be increasing our use of Facebook, continuing to send out email updates, (probably less frequently) and increasing the content on our web site and Member Jungle.
While we can’t ride I’m sure we can still find ways to have fun so we are also looking in to a few other options to get us together in a virtual way but I will share more on this as our plans come together. If you have ideas of other things we could do please let me know.
Above all please look after yourself and your whanau. As a club we are not equipped to provide direct assistance, but as a family we are always here to listen, so please feel free to reach out to Kathy our Welfare officer, me or indeed other club members for a chat.
